He's kind of pale and a little creepy? We can't seem to find him and we'd appreciate it if you could tell us if you've seen him! I'm in the park on a bench, so come find me if you know anything.

[ Another pause. ] So they've implemented like, a currency thing? How do you guys think that Nostalgia Nook place works, anyway? Do they like, take shops from back home, or do they copy them? I'm really curious about it.

It's like the real thing. Liiiike... one of Minato-kun's Personas! Oh... but I guess those aren't really real, since they're only a part of your psyche? But they do exist, so I guess it's real, and it isn't real.

[ Durrhurr totally the most genius way to put this ever amirite. ]

You'll have to forgive me, but I'm a bit in the dark on knowing what a 'persona' is. Other than the standard definition, of course. Unless you're talking about blurring the lines of reality and imagination in which things like 'inner demons' are real.

Oh, yeah! Those would be Shadows and Personas, respectively!

[ He is just like not getting the "do not exist" bit, oops. Cause you know--he IS a Shadow. So. ]

[He's also talking to Norway. Norway sees fairies and trolls and other "imaginary" creatures so it's not as if he doesn't believe.]

How utterly interesting. Are they common wherever you're from?

Uh-huh! Well, Shadows are, anyway. Personas aren't, because the people who can use them are only the ones who have the potential in the first place. Even then, it's extremely taxing on their psyche, so they have to be able to handle it.

It's... actually really complicated! But... hm... how would I explain this to a regular person...?

[ He ponders, unaware what he's just said. Not that it bothers him. ] Shadows are the suppressed sides of people; the ones that they deny given form. They've been around for as long as people have.

[ Ryoji gives a thoughtful hum, unheard. ]

Actually, it does tend to make a bit of sense. It's more of an internal struggle with the shadows, it seems. A darker side of humanity. Though, that's relatively speaking.

Yeah, you get it. Although these feelings are dark and you're generally unaware of them, the people who have the potential to wield a Persona can conquer their own Shadows and wield them using Evokers during the Dark Hour in my world.

Though, Vatheon seems to support both Personas and Shadows fairly well...? Normally you wouldn't be able to summon outside of then, but Minato-kun can do it, so...

Ryoji is just fine, princess.
