[ ... Ryoji saw the contact list. It... was painful for him. Probably moreso than he wanted to admit. But he needed to tell the people who DID know her, right?

So it's through a text to everyone he does so, because he isn't sure he can do a video post on this. Looks like he'll be taking care of the tarantulas, but he won't forget, or regret. They were good friends. ]

to those that knew her, Vriska-chan has gone back to the veil.
i know not all of you guys were her friend and i understand not all of you got along with her
it was kind of my hope i could help change that and i wanted to try!!!!!!!!
but i just thought you should all know, anyway.

[ Ryoji will be downstairs by the time Yukari gets back, sitting on the sofa.

He... isn't smiling, but he isn't crying, either. He simply seems a bit melancholy. He woke up to this, but he is staring at his SFC, thinking more of the people she knew aside from him.

And... he is holding his scarf. For once it is off, and the scar around his neck... a long thing line, is obvious. He had nearly been killed that day. The same incident that... also led to their Moirallegiance. ]

[ And down the stairs she goes, once she finally finds the yellow diary she's hidden away from her room. It's still in the bag, actually, smelling brand new, and she takes it with her--quickly spotting him sitting on the sofa.

...it's strange, really, to see him without the scarf on, and she certainly notices the scar, though she doesn't ask about anything just yet.

She just sits down next to him, the bag in her hand...searching for something meaningful to say. ]

[ He's quiet for a moment. It's mostly reminiscing on his part, really. When Yukari sits down next to him, he gives her a smile, though it IS a little forced. ]

Hey, Yukari-chan. Sorry... I'm a little embarrassed about this still.

[ The scar, of course, is what he means. ]

... It's all right.

Everyone's got scars. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

[ ...and she doesn't want to make him relive it, if it's that painful for him; but she's curious, and she can't really hide that very well. Her hands clench tighter around the bag she's brought down with her as she asks. ]

Does it...does it hurt?

[ He shakes his head. ]

Not anymore... though I guess if I really needed to know, I found out my blood color because of what happened that time. Then again, I'm not sure why I was surprised... you know, she died during that attack? I couldn't save her. So I... promised I would take care of her when she came back.

[ He's not surprised. God tier or not, they COULD die. Her death had been one of a hero, that time. It was what convinced him she was good, no matter what. ]

A lot of people have flaws, right? I know my message probably won't mean much to the others she was with. She didn't get along well with most of them. But I'm... going to try to change that. When she comes back.

[ He believes she will. ]

You--you never really told me about what happened...

[ This is her first time seeing the scar, though she might have come close that time at the Host Club party when she noted how different it looked. She never really thought to ask to see what was beneath it-- ]

I know it's hard, not being able to save somebody. It's just so easy to blame yourself--even if...even if it's not your fault--

[ Her father, Mitsuru-senpai's father...even...Minato-kun... ]

I hope...that she does come back.

[ Even if...when she does, there's no guarantee that she'll be the same. ]

[ He... lets out a small laugh. ]

... Well, I didn't exactly want you to know who did it. He's not a bad person... it was just that when he's not balanced, he... became one. Normally he's a really nice guy!

[ But he looks down for a bit, shaking his head. ]

I won't blame myself... I mean, there's only so much that I can do on my own, right? The best I can do is wait until then.

...I can understand that.

[ She's normally a nice person, too, after all. Mostly. But she's got her own anger issues, her own buttons and things that push her over the edge. Losing Minato...not getting to hear his last words...

That was one of them. ]

I'm not gonna make you tell me, but...

[ She rustles with the bag in her hand some more, before finally handing it to him, a small yellow diary notebook inside. ]

...Here. Maybe you can write about it, if...if you want.

I told you I'd get you one...right?

[ Ryoji looks surprised. You might notice, Yukari, that there is an Eevee curled up next to him, and he pats her head quietly. ]

... Yukari-chan... this is for me?

[ He smiles quietly, honestly grateful as he looks at the book, it's pages empty. Looks at it, and realizes... that this meant he... could fill it up.

With himself, right? Like--the MP3 player.

It was another... sign, that he had a life and it was his and he was going to make the most of it. ]

[ His smiles is honest and bright. ]

... I'll use it every single day. Thank you!

[ He looks at it quietly, meaning every single word he's said, flipping the pages along as he looks at Yukari, genuinely enamored with it, though it was a simple journal. ]

I... I don't mind telling you if you want to know anything. We're friends, right? ... No more secrets. We can't work together if there are any.

[ ... About him, anyway. Regardless, he had been asked to keep some things from Yukari by Aigis, which although it pained him, he would do. But right now... was about him. Him, and Yukari, and Vriska, and Gamzee, quite possibly, as he was just as involved in the forming of their relationship as Ryoji was in carrying it out and seeing it through. ]

...You'd better.

[ Not that it cost her any money or anything. And it's not like she'll check to make ~sure~ he's using it...but still. Writing in a diary is still something that he should experience.

He deserves that much. ]

And we are friends. So I do wanna know how you got hurt so badly...

But not if...you don't feel comfortable talking about it so soon after...

[ He just lost Vriska, after all. Does he want to talk about how he almost lost her that time?

...she can't deny she's curious though. So she...kind of trails off there. ]

... You would have found out eventually anyway. It's... I want you to understand something first. What happened happened, and he's been forgiven for what he did. Or... well, that side of him.

She came back; everyone he killed did. And... Vriska-chan's gone, but only for now. I don't believe she'll not come back again.

[ ... He is quiet for a long moment. ]

[ ... Just remembering it is--well, chilling.

Gamzee like that... that murderous intent. It was horrible. He looks down, then back to Yukari. ]

Gamzee-kun is--well... trolls are different from people. He has a very high blood color on the spectrum, and it's commonly known the higher up you go, the more violent you tend to be. Vriska-chan has the same tendencies, but Gamzee-kun... when he's usually high, he's a really nice guy.

[ ... ] But when he's sober, what happens is that his other personalities take over and he... kills people. He cares about blood color and he doesn't like humans at all, or lower bloods than him.

Vriska left me a message. I... didn't listen to it, so it's pretty much my own fault for disobeying her. She was looking out for me.

Gamzee...?

He's the one who did that?

[ She is listening intently, keeping in mind that he's been 'forgiven,' to use Ryoji's words. She scratches her head, though...all this stuff about blood color--

She had no idea something like that could ever be so important. ]

But--

...I-I don't understand. I've never seen him act like that...

So what's keeping him 'high' and acting like a nice guy, right now? Did it...fail, before?

[ He sighs, standing up. ]

Trolls have... very bad nightmares. They plague the species as a whole, so they have to sleep in this slime? It's called Sopor Slime. Except Gamzee has been... eating it for a long time. The problem is that he ran out here. I don't think it much matters how it happened.

[ That scarf... it had been through a lot. So had he. ]

Well, Vriska-chan was the first to go after him. He was waiting in the Carnival area... there were bodies everywhere. He'd killed... a lot of people. She told me not to follow her but I--went looking. When I got there, he was using her own dagger against her. I... well, you've obviously spoken with him.

[ He rubs the back of his neck a bit. ]

He's--not normally like that. And Vriska-chan is a God. She can't die by normal means, but at the time I didn't... know. People could come back. So--I tried to save her. I thought... if I could get her to Minato, he could bring her back.

And I didn't want to hurt him... you know what I did to Aigis, and that wasn't even on purpose.

[ Of course not. Even if someone was trying to kill him, he'd never want to hurt them. ]

So I made the mistake of not thinking. That's--pretty much what happened. He used my weapons against me. And well, the scar...

[ He motions to his neck. ] ... Came from when he tried to strangle me with it. Of course, it's really difficult to kill me, even in my human form, and as many injuries as he'd given me, I was... after Vriska. So I managed to escape, but not before he'd cut me up with my own sword, broke some ribs, nearly broken my wrist, and left... this.

Most of the injuries were internal, but I lost a lot of blood. Or... well, what you'd call it, anyway, I guess it might be closer to oil...? The majority of them happened once he realized it was black. Kept going on about how he could make some kind of "black miracle" with it.

[ She frowns, listening to him. Nightmares? Sopor Slime? ...she only has a limited understanding, but she supposes he's right. It doesn't much matter how it happened. How anything happened...she has to learn to let go of the past, or else she'll never be able to look forward to the future.

What is important is that Gamzee...

Gamzee is a 'nice guy' now, and she can't let this color her opinion of him.

This...this must have been what he had been talking about all along...when they first met...

She nods, figuring she at least understands the gist of what happened now. How he was almost strangled...

Having to watch as someone he cared about, used their own weapon against them.

...It's horrible. How many times now has she had to watch, when one member of the team gets charmed by a Shadow? Watch as they attack someone else, or even herself, and she has to defend against it...

Minato would never let it last for long. He would always use Discharm.

But it doesn't make it any easier to think about or deal with. ]

...I'm sorry. If I'd been around, I...

You know I would've tried to help.

... It's okay. It's really no one's fault. Bad things just... happen. He's like me, that's all.

[ They were both murderers, when it came down to it. ]

He... well, Minato fixed my scarf! He even made it better. So it's okay.

[ She nods, looking at the scarf in question...with...well, a smile. ]

Yeah. It will be.

...and for what it's worth, I--I think the scarf suits you.

[ The smile turns into a bit of a chuckle. What could be more special than a scarf fixed by a dear friend?

Yukari knows she'd treasure it. ]

... Try not to be too hard on him, okay? There's three people there, with Gamzee-kun. The one you know isn't either of the really bad ones, so...

[ So he thinks it's alright. ]

[ ...She realizes there is a lot more to understand about Gamzee than she first thought, but-- ]

I won't. Even though he hurt you, I...

[ ... ]

...We were actually getting along, you know? I was surprised, but...I guess we have some things in common that I hadn't really thought about before.

[ He's not the only one who's lashed out at friends, after all. ]

Besides, if you were able to put it behind you, then...of course I should, too.

[ ...not...that that's one of her strong points, but... ]

[ That's all he really wanted, y'know? He clutches the diary, holding it closer. ]

I think... I'm going to fill this diary up. I'll make sure of it.

[ YEAH HE IS REALLY EXCITED. ]
